HT 0-8 v 0-9

The nicks midfield of johnny Carter and Sam Reilly began dominating possession and this was reflected on the score board with three frees from Kirwan and a Dean Smith point from play. The home side fought back with some accurate shooting but a late Alex Reilly point had St.Nicholas one up at the break.

CúChulainn started the second as they finished the first with some well worked scores. The lead changed hands throughout the half, points from Stephan Hodgins and Sam Reilly for St.Nicholas. A Phillip Kirwan goal put the Nicks two ahead with ten minutes to play but to their credit the Gaels cancelled the lead with their next two possessions and then went one up heading to injury time.
